When is Amazon Prime Day 2023?

The 2023 Amazon Prime Day has now officially been slated for July 11th and 12th so get that in your calendars. Last year the event returned to the regular July window and it seems like we will be keeping with that going forward. The sale will span across 2 days (lasting a full 48 hours) and there are sure to be plenty of fantastic savings to be had across all sectors, but we’re going to be focusing on what to expect in gaming including consoles, TVs, peripherals and of course… Games.

Xbox Series S and Series X Amazon Prime Day Deals

Xbox Amazon Prime Day Deals

When it comes to Xbox we’re quite excited about Amazon Prime Day deals because of the availability of the consoles. The Xbox Series X and Series S stock is relatively stable now to the point that Amazon may offer a slight discount on the console, we’d definitely expect this in the case of the all-digital Xbox Series S. It may be a big ask but what a steal this console would be at the £200 price mark. Keep an eye out for Xbox Series X deals over prime day via our dedicated deals page.

Accessories and games are also likely to see some decent offers, last year we saw a few third-party titles reduced and due to the value of Xbox Game Pass for Xbox’s first-party offerings, this will probably be the preference for most Xbox gamers this year as well. We may even see some discounts on Game Pass Ultimate memberships which are always welcome as it is already one of the best deals in gaming.

Nintendo Switch Consoles Amazon Prime Day Deals

Nintendo Switch Amazon Prime Day Deals

Nintendo has released a fair few titles this year with Fire Emblem Engage, Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe and most recently game of the year contender The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom which are all contenders to have a slight discount on Amazon Prime Day. But we’d expect slightly heavier discounts on older games such as Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Metroid Dread. But keep in mind Nintendo Switch games are revered for how well they maintain their value!

We’d expect to see plenty of new Nintendo Switch Bundles come up for the Standard, Lite and OLED models of the console over the 2 day Amazon Prime sale. Hopefully offering value in terms of getting some of the best first-party Nintendo Switch titles for a lot less (maybe even free). We have our fingers crossed for some good deals on the Nintendo Switch OLED being the latest new console from Nintendo.

PS5 Consoles Amazon Prime Day Deals

PS5 Amazon Prime Day Deals

We feel like 2023 is finally the year that PS5 stock has stabilised across the board. You can actually find the console really quite easily and gone are the days of stock checking and scouring the internet in order to find the console hooray! Last year we had very little hopes for discounts when it came to PS5s during Amazon Prime Day and even the Black Friday sales but this year we're way more hopeful as a result of the console being in stock and Amazon likely wanting to tempt in players to adapting to Sony's latest ecosystem. So let's keep our finger's crossed for some solid discounts on the PS5 Disc or PS5 Digital consoles this Amazon Prime Day. PSVR2 also released this year but we'd say it's unlikely to see any discounts on this hardware as a result of how new it is.

If you already own the console don't worry we now have a decent chunk of titles on PS5, a few big exclusives like Horizon Forbidden West and God of War: Ragnarok as well as lots of great third-party games such as Resident Evil 4 and Hogwarts Legacy. This means more options for some decent offers and discounts when compared to last year when the selection was a lot thinner. As the library expands there's sure to be some great deals from titles you may have missed in years gone by as well as ones from 2023 (what a great year to be a gamer by the way).

We’ve already seen the PS5 DualSense controller discounted earlier this month with the Sony Days of Play sale, but we imagine Amazon will discount these again for their Prime Day Deals and potentially the other official accessories such as the DualSense Charging Station and the Pulse 3D headsets.

Gaming Peripherals Amazon Prime Day Deals

PC peripherals and components Amazon Prime Day Deals

One product line that tends to see some great discounts during Amazon Prime Day is PC peripherals/components such as SSDs, gaming keyboards, gaming mice and more. Logitech as a brand tends to see some great prices on their mice, such as the Logitech G Pro and their Logitech G915 Keyboard which are fantastic wireless options if you’re looking to get rid of those pesky wires. If you’re after anything peripheral-related for your computer (i.e. monitors etc.) we definitely recommend holding off till Prime Day if you’re a member because there are often some huge discounts that are worth waiting for.

LG C1 4K OLED TV Amazon Prime Day Deals

Amazon Prime Day TV Deals

TVs are often discounted on these big sale days of the year like Black Friday - and Amazon Prime Day is no different. We’d expect to see some solid discounts on a few of the OLED models, such as the LG C1 which saw big discounts on Black Friday at Amazon. We’d expect Samsung Neo QLED to most likely follow suit, and these TVs are certainly some of the premier ways to take advantage of your powerhouse next-generation consoles.
