While Nintendo Switch players may have missed out on 2016’s excellent Monster Hunter: World, Capcom seem like they’re looking to resolve that with the launch of Monster Hunter Rise in March of next year - March, 26th, 2021 to be exact. The trailer shown was mightily impressive, showcasing four-player co-op, fully-voiced cut scenes and an experience that looks just generally more polished than any previous Monster Hunter game on Nintendo Switch before.
The Monster Hunter news kept rolling in during today’s Nintendo Direct Mini, with the news that 2017’s Monster Hunter Stories would be getting a sequel in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. Unlike the main Monster Hunter series, Stories is primarily turn-based and focusses on combat and characters that are much more family-friendly. Still, that won’t stop us from hunting down cute creatures in this charming alternative to the Pokemon RPGs. It arrives on Nintendo's hybrid console some time in Summer 2021.
