November 2020 ushered in a new dawn for gamers, with the release of Microsoft's new-gen consoles, the company's flagship Xbox Series X console and the more affordable Xbox Series S.
Both of these consoles offer a significant increase in performance, allowing for "unparalleled load-times, heightened visuals and steadier frame-rates at up to 120FPS", compared to the previous generation of consoles.
In principle, this is an epic leap forward for gamers: with one caveat, are the games on the market going to be able to match the performance of the consoles?
Games developers have now had a year since launch to get their games ready for this new-gen, so we thought we'd take a look at some of the highlights so far.
