What between the releases of Pokemon Sword and Shield, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Need for Speed: Heat, November was by far one of the busiest months of 2019 in terms of sheer excellent video game being launched. However, that doesn’t mean that the year is done yet. December might not be quite as bombastic as what we’ve just seen in November, but there are still a few gems worth coming out this month that we think are worth celebrating.

What are these gems, we hear you ask? Well, that’s what the round-up we’ve collated below aims to highlight. In need of something suitable for the Christmas period or a lesser-known game that won’t take up too much of your time? You’ve come to the right place. So, without further ado, here’s every new big game releasing on PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch throughout the month of December.

Life is Strange 2 (December 3rd)

Released episodically beginning in 2018, the full story of the second Life is Strange game comes to an end on December 3rd. And, as is usual for episodic releases like this, a boxed physical version of the complete tale releases to coincide with the release of the last episode. Taking place three years after the first Life is Strange, this sequel is also a decision and choice-based graphic adventure where everything you do matters and has an impact on the narrative. You play as Sean Diaz, a teenager with special powers. Discover how his story ends when Life is Strange 2 fully releases on December 3rd.

Coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch on December 6th, this will mark the first time both games have been playable on the go, making it more convenient and much easier than before to enjoy open-world stealth action in two of the Assassin’s Creed series’ best entries.
