2023 was another great year for PlayStation with titles like Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and Final Fantasy XVI both meeting expectations and strengthening the PS5 lineup even further and new hardware hitting shelves with the release of PSVR2 and the PlayStation 5 Slim consoles late in November of 2023. This console generation feels as though PlayStation continue to just go from strength to strength and right now they're very far ahead of Xbox who once again had a relatively mediocre year but do have some great-looking titles scheduled for 2024. It is important to note that this year PlayStation have pretty much confirmed we won't see any of their first-party games like your God of War, Spider-Man, and Last of Us type releases but there is still plenty of exclusives on the slate as you'll see in this list.
2024 when it comes to PlayStation right now is also looking to have some banger titles exclusive to the console (if there aren't too many delays) with titles like Helldivers 2 and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth already getting a tonne of love early in the year with more titles like Rise of the Ronin and Silent Hill 2 Remake coming later on. If you don't already own a PlayStation 5 console now is a great time to pick one up, the exclusive catalogue is getting more and more stacked as the years go on and now the Slim version of the PS5 is readily available with some solid deals floating around.
In this article, we're going to be looking forward to the biggest PlayStation exclusives of 2024 listed in chronological order (alphabetical if no release date yet) including timed pure exclusives and console exclusives that are also releasing on PC. If you want to check out a particular game just hit one of the links below.

Publisher: Sony Interactive Entertainment
Genre: Shooter
Trailer: Fairgames$ CGI Trailer - YouTube
Fairgames$ is a competitive heist game something akin to the Payday series but with a PVP spin where you and your fellow thieves must compete against others to get the most loot possible. Not much else is known about this title and we've not seen any actual gameplay yet just a CGI trailer that shows the general premise of the game. Releasing on PC and PS5, no set date.

Developer: Bungie
Publisher: Sony Interactive Entertainment
Genre: First-Person Shooter, Extraction Shooter
Trailer: Marathon Trailer - YouTube
Bungie is returning to its roots by rebooting the Marathon series but now as an extraction shooter. In their push to have more games as a service, Sony leaned on experts Bungie and they're coming out with Marathon. Extraction shooters like Hunt Showdown & Escape from Tarkov are very popular and it makes sense that Bungie would want to have a crack at the genre.
Marathon oozes style from its trailer and you can work solo or in a crew of three to survive against other plays in a hostile environment. If other extraction shooters are anything to go off I'd imagine you need to grab gear/loot and simply try to get out with as much as possible. We're yet to see any gameplay of Marathon and Bungie doesn't seem quite ready to share more yet but we'll be here when they are. A release date has also not been shared as of yet but the game will be on both PS5 and PC and feature full cross-play at release.

Trailer: Phantom Blade Zero Announce Trailer - YouTube
Phantom Blade Zero is a fast combat Action RPG from Chinese Developer S-Game who also made Rainblood; a franchise that never made it over to the West but was extremely popular in China. Phantom Blade Zero is the game they've always wanted to make and is taking advantage of Unreal Engine 5 moving on from their humble beginnings on RPG Maker. You can read more about this on the PlayStation blog with a great article from the CEO of S-Game.
In Phantom Blood Zero you'll play as Soul an elite assassin who serves an organisation known as "The Order", however, you have been framed for the murder of the org's leader and are now being hunted down. You must discover who framed you and why. The combat in this title looks insanely fast from the trailers, with incredibly smooth traversal as you slice through enemies. If this game can live up to what they've shown in trailers this could be an exceptional title. We have no set release date yet but the game will be released on PS5 and PC.
