Night Call, The Messenger and more coming to Xbox Game Pass soon

The onset of a new month means that Xbox Game Pass will be getting a big old refresh extremely soon, which Microsoft has confirmed today via a new post on the Xbox News Wire. Truth be told there’s nothing too Earth-shattering coming to the Netflix-style subscription service before June ends, but there are a few indie gems Xbox One players might want to check out.

Headlining the pack is Sabotage Studio’s The Messenger, a side-scrolling indie platformer that lets players bampf between 8-bit and 16-bit art styles. It had previously been available for Game Pass subscribers playing on PC, but June 24th will mark the first time those playing on Xbox One S or Xbox One X will be able to jump in.

Before that happens, though, today (June 23rd) has seen detective thriller Night Call already arrive on Game Pass. It sets you in the shoes of a curious Taxi driver working in Paris, who is forced to track down multiple murderers after a swathe of deaths sweep the city. If you’re a fan of all things Noir, we’d say definitely check this out.

Finally, top-down rogue-lite Streets of Rogue makes its way to console Xbox Game Pass the same day as The Messenger. As does Observation, which is another thriller this time set in a sci-fi universe that casts you as a space station’s Artificial Intelligence observing the crew members via control systems and cameras. Both Streets of Rogue and Observation arrive on June 24th.

All these new games arriving does of course mean that some titles will be leaving soon. This was also revealed on the Xbox News Wire post and the full list is as follows (leaving June 30th):

  • Battlefleet Gothic: Armada (PC)
  • Die for Valhalla! (PC)
  • Life is Strange 2 (Console)
  • Metal Slug X (Console & PC)
  • Metro Exodus (Console & PC)
  • Neon Chrome (Console & PC)
  • Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun (Console & PC)
  • SteamWorld Dig 2 (Console & PC)
  • The Flame in the Flood (Console & PC)

Not yet a subscriber to Xbox Game Pass? It’s a pretty good deal, providing instant access to over 100 digital titles for much less than the price of a brand-new game paid on a monthly basis. Here’s the best current price:
