How to get a free PS4 console with a new mobile phone contract

FREE STUFF! Great, now that we have your attention we thought it worth re-emphasising how the search for a new smartphone is also one of the best times to capitalise on a free video games console. In this case, a free PS4 console.

The PS4 is one of the best-selling consoles in history, and with good reason; it has an incredible library of games, many of them exclusive, a huge community and excellent hardware infrastructure, so the fact that you can pick up a free ps4 console in any circumstances is a huge win! There are two main models: the Slim, which has an RRP of £249 with a game, and the Pro, which unfortunately is no longer in production (Curse you, PS5!).

However, you can still pick up the former as a free gift on your next phone contract. We've given a breakdown of the deals below, however here's a quick overview:

• Unfortunately, on our latest check, the last PS4 console bundles have sold out with our partner mobile phone retailers.  It looks as though retailers are now focusing on PS5 contract bundles due to the reduced demand for the PS4 console.

• EE's fantastic "Add to Plan" section offers you the ability to either build a new bundle or add to your existing contract with a choice of accessories/games for the PS4. They have a solid selection of accessories including the DualShock 4 controller and a range of Turtle Beach headsets.

Which phone models are available as a bundle with the PS4

We tend to see phones that are around 12 months old for phone and console bundles. For example, the latest iPhone 14 model isn't available as part of a bundle with a PS4 - we put this down to the demand for the iPhone 14 being huge on initial launch.

You can expect to select phones such as the iPhone 13/12, Samsung S21, Sony Experia 10 III and Google Pixel 4a. Not the extreme top end but all very good options nonetheless.
