The newest Call of Duty; Modern Warfare II, just had its beta dates announced. Starting in September, you can get your boots on the ground and be the first to experience the brand-new shooter.
As usual with these types of betas, there are multiple dates with multiple requirements. However, in this article we’ll break down who has access to the beta on which days and how to get the most playtime out of the beta period.

When is the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II beta?

The Modern Warfare II beta starts on the 16th of September for PlayStation players that pre-ordered their copy of the game. Open access to the beta begins on September 24th for all players on all platforms, regardless whether they have pre-ordered the game or not.

What is the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II beta schedule?

The following dates detail who can access the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II beta and when.

September 16th - September 17th: PlayStation Early Access
Players on the PS4 and PS5 who have pre-ordered Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II can start playing as early as September 16th, getting the full head-start experience.

September 18th - September 20th: Open Access on PlayStation
All players on the PS4 and PS5 get to play in this 48 hour period. So long as you’re on a PlayStation console, you can grab a gun and join the fun.

September 22nd - September 23rd: Xbox & PC Early Access + Continued Open Access on PlayStation
The doors are open to Xbox and PC players who have pre-ordered Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, allowing them to hop into the battlefield. Once again, all PlayStation players can have fun without having to purchase a copy of the game.

September 24th - September 26th: Open Access to All Players
Until September 26th, all players on all platforms can team up to fight the enemy. No pre-order necessary, all you need is to download the game, boot it up and have a blast.

How do you access Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II’s Early Access Beta?

To get access to the PlayStation Early Access starting on September 16th, you will need to pre-order Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II on the PS4 or PS5 before the beta start date.
If you pre-order on any other platform, you will get access to the Early Access Beta starting on September 22nd.
