Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

If you’re short on something to play with friends this weekend the folks over at Acitivison have stepped in to help. Whether you play on PlayStation 4, Xbox One or PC, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s multiplayer portion is free to play from now until Monday.
You might be thinking, “Wait, isn’t Call of Duty already free to play?’. Actually, no. What you’re thinking of is the Battle Royale-inspired Call of Duty: Warzone. Whereas that game centres on a single game mode that sees 10s of people duke it out across a single giant map, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare features a slew of multiplayer modes that are more traditional for Competitive PVP.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has recently been making waves amongst news outlets recently, largely for players taking issue with the number of updates and patches it has been receiving. This week’s patch alone weighed in at over 80GB on PS4, bringing the total digital file size for the game to almost 200GB. If you’re a PS4 player playing an original model, that’s almost half of the storage space available to you.
Still, if you’re keen on seeing what all the hullabaloo is about with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s multiplayer we’d recommend getting that download started now. File size issues aside, Activision’s latest is an incredibly polished and highly addicting multiplayer platform that no first-person shooter fan should miss.
To download Call of Duty: Modern Warfare now simply head on over to your platform of choice and search for it. Then, if you enjoyed this little taste, be sure to pick up the full game for the best price below:
