The 13th September Nintendo Direct was a big one. We got big new announcements for Nintendo Switch games, as well as ports and remakes. Though many were expecting the announcement of an upgraded Nintendo Switch OLED, this show stuck exclusively to the games, and boy was there a lot of them!
With a show like this, there's something for everyone to enjoy. We've put together this easy breakdown so you can catch up quickly.
The newest title in the Fire Emblem series is releasing on the 20th of January.
The trailer indicates that it pits a soldier far into the future. With their war won and allies long fallen, they have to figure out why and how they've been placed into a time that is not their own. Using mystical crystals, you can call upon the spirits of your favourite Fire Emblem characters to aid you in battle.
Fire Emblem Engage will release with a "Divine" collector's edition which packs all sorts of goodies with it that die-hard fans will not be able to resist.

It's what everybody's been waiting for - a tantalizing tease for Breath of the Wild 2 (now named Tears of the Kingdom). Though the show was short, we saw some gameplay, environmental puzzles, and a hint at the scope of the world this sequel belongs to.
This time, protagonist Link is equipped with a glider he can apparently summon as he's falling. This gives us some indication that the world of Tears of the Kingdom will be more vertical. With places to climb, fly and explore that may be very high up (as the trailer shows), it should provide to be one of the most unique Zelda worlds yet.
