Explore an alternative reality grounded in scientific supremacy within the Soviet Union when Atomic Hearts releases on PlayStation, Xbox and PC on February 21st
Atomic Heart is a first-person shooter game that takes place in the Soviet Union in the year 1955. In this reality, the USSR defeated Nazi Germany thanks to advances in robotic technology but the cost of human lives was still incredibly high meaning the Soviet Union began to rely on their new robotic technologies to automate many aspects of Soviet civilisation. A scientist named Professor Sechenov plans to create a network of robotic assistants that can be controlled in order to entirely replace the human race as a workforce. This network was named the Kollektiv 1.0 and was a huge success as robots now operated as a hivemind meaning productivity was rapidly enhanced. Following this Sechenov wants to improve the network so that human users can join the network themselves remotely via an interface device which was named "Thought" this device would allow individuals to control robots and harness large amounts of information in a small period of time. This brings us to 1955, the year Atomic Heart is set; the citizens of the USSR are eagerly awaiting the release of the Kollektiv 2.0 neural network so they can use the 'Thought' device themselves in order to control their robot assistants.
You will play as P-3 a mentally unstable KGB special agent who has been requested to clean up Sechenov's research facility 3826. You will have to take advantage of an array of heavy weapons and special abilities with your combat glove as you take down the true outcomes of experimentation inside facility 3826 and discover the truth of exactly what the cost of a scientific utopia is.
