What’s being added to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog in August?

Yakuza 0

The prequel to the massively popular Yakuza series puts you in the shoes of a young Kazuma, fighting in front of the backdrop of 80’s Japan. When a simple task gets out of hand, Kazuma has to prove himself as one of the best fighters around.

Remake of the very first Yakuza game, you once again play as Kazuma, who has recently been released from prison after serving time for a crime he did not commit. Immediately thrust back into the mean streets of Japan, he has to do whatever he can to survive and thrive.

This remake of Yakuza’s second game sees protagonist Kazuma face off against a gang leader known as the Dragon of Kansai. This remake goes above and beyond by including a brand new adventure where you play as Goro before the events of the main game.

Dead by Daylight

Terrifyingly popular 4v1 game Dead By Daylight allows you to work with your friends to escape a player controlled killer, or lets you play the blood-thirsty monster yourself. Among interesting original survivors and killers, there’s also a wealth of licensed characters to play as, including Halloween’s Micheal Myers and Resident Evil’s NEMESIS. Fix those generators and open the doors. A killer is coming for you.

Tom Clancy’s: Ghost Recon Wildlands

Not wanting to be outdone by Xbox Gamepass, Ghost Recon Wildlands is also available on PlayStation Plus this month. Once you’ve escaped the Dead by Daylight killers, grab your friends and head to a cartel-controlled open world and help unravel a criminal enterprise.

Bugsnax

The strangest game on the list puts you in the shoes of a reporter who is investigating an island full of half-bug-half-snack-creature-things. It’s up to you to record all 100 critters that inhabit the island while helping its populus with other tasks.

Other games coming to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog in August:

While those are just the headliners, there are a couple smaller games coming to the service on August 16th. Those games are:

  • Metro Exodus
  • Trials of Mana
  • UNO
  • Monopoly Madness
  • Monopoly Plus

With all these great games coming to PlayStation Plus Premium and Extra subscribers, there’s a lot to do over the summer. See you in game!
