It’s that time of year again… EA Sports has just launched its annual footy game, but this year there is a twist!  The “FIFA” name is no more, enter FC 24.

Article Quick Links:

I know what you’re thinking, new name, new game?  Well… sort of.  Judging by reviews (and our minimal play time to date), it's very much rinse and repeat, albeit with graphical enhancements and gameplay tweaks.

If you’re interested in FC 24, take a look at the trailer below and don’t forget you can compare prices on FC 24 via our dedicated comparison page.

Get the “Ultimate Team” of your dreams with FUT FC Points

Ultimate Team returns in FC 24 and remains one of the huge pulls for EA’s footy franchise. If you've played FIFA in the past, chances are you're well-acquainted with FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT). This online game mode allows you to build your very own dream team, using points to purchase players, packs and other in-game items.

Prior to FC 24, these points were known as FUT points… but due to the “FIFA” reference being dropped EA had to think long and hard about how to name the new in-game currency system.  They eventually settled on “FC Points” - hats off to the EA marketing team.

FC points are valuable - they're essentially the currency of the game.  They are used to purchase Ultimate Team packs and start Ultimate Team drafts.  FC points can also be used to redeem items from the VOLTA store to help personalise your player.

Whether you're a seasoned veteran or a newcomer to the world of FC 24, there's no denying the excitement that comes when opening a pack and seeing which players you've acquired.

Can you get FC points for free?

In short, yes, FC 24 enables you to earn FC Points for free through completing in-game content.  This includes Squad Building Challenges (SBC), Ultimate Team Moments, Objectives in Squad Battles and general season progress.

If you’re looking to grab FC Points for free without completing in-game content, you’re going to have to rely on giveaways or subscriptions (such as Amazon Prime or Twitch drops).

As of writing this, Amazon Prime Rewards currently supports FIFA 23 and is yet to link FC 24 as a Prime Reward.  We’re expecting this to be updated, but as it's still early days… watch this space!

What FC Points packs are available and how much are they?

Ok, we’ve got you.  You need a shortcut and could do with grabbing some FC Points outside of the day-to-day grind on in-game content.  No problem, see below the current pack sizes and prices in GBP and USD:

FC Points Standard Price EA Play Subscription Price
100 £0.79 / $0.99 £0.71 / $0.89
500 £3.99 / $4.99 £3.59 / $4.49
1050 £7.99 / $9.99 £7.19 / $8.99
1600 £11.99 / $14.99 £10.79 / $13.49
2800 £19.99 / $24.99 £17.99 / $22.49
5900 £39.99 / $49.99 £35.99 / $44.99
12000 £79.99 / $99.99 £71.99 / $89.99

As you can see, you can grab points packs cheaper by subscribing to EA Play and purchasing directly through the EA App Store.  EA Play subscriptions start from just £3.99 / $4.99 a month - therefore if you're looking to buy packs regularly this could be a good option.

However, there is a cheaper way...
