Sony announced the PlayStation 5 Pro on September 10th, with the release date scheduled for November 7th and pre-orders going live on September 26th. The reaction wasn't enthusiastic, with the console costing £699 and not having a disc drive by default. As a result, the PS5 Digital Edition Disc Drive that was already available has started to sell out.
