Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is one of the most anticipated games of the year with a deserved hype train following the critical acclaim of its predecessor Breath of the Wild which is regarded by many as one of the best games ever made. This exceptionally high praise is most definitely warranted and it seems like Nintendo has a few more tricks up its sleeve to build even more excitement around the release of the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. They're going to be releasing a new limited edition OLED console, Switch Pro controller and carrying case all with designs and themes based around Tears of the Kingdom. These items are going to sell out fast, so be sure to keep an eye on our price comparison above and the respective pages for the other accessories to make sure you don't miss out on stock! We will add UK retailers who have the limited edition goodies as soon as they're available for pre-order.

The OLED console's design has gold Joy-Cons with a strange runic pattern coming from the bottom in green and white, these colours really pop and match the theme of Tears of the Kingdom. The dock for the Nintendo Switch OLED has a white base with more runic patterning in that strong gold colouring with a large Hylian crest right in the centre. It's a clean sleek awesome looking Nintendo Switch OLED and we'd anticipate it's going to be a tough console to get your hands on, the hype of the game itself combined with just such a great design is going to lead to this one flying off the shelves.

This OLED is set to release on the 28th of April a couple of weeks before the release of Tears of the Kingdom on the 12th of May (the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller and carrying case will also release on the 12th of May).

Retail price is going to come in at around £319.99 for this special edition which is to be expected, and we will probably see some higher prices at certain retailers and definitely with resellers on eBay etc.

Stay on the move with the Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Carry Case

One of the best things about a Nintendo Switch is its portability but to ensure you don't get any scratches Nintendo has you covered with their new limited edition carry case to celebrate Zelda: Tears of the Kingdoms release. A black base with the Hylian crest is contrasted by the same golds we see on the consoles with circular runic patterns. The case will also come with a screen protector to further protect your Nintendo Switch OLED console.

Whilst the Nintendo Switch's Joy-Cons are great for use when playing portable the reality is you're much better off with a Switch Pro Controller when you're playing in docked. It seems like Nintendo are pretty aware of this so they're also releasing a Pro Controller themed around Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom which will also drop on May 12th. We're hitting those same themes as with the OLED console and carry cases with blacks and gold but with a nice hit of contrast with one of the rubberised grips here being white whilst the other is black.
