Incredible speeds, futuristic locales and hugely competitive racing are all hallmarks of the WipEout games, and in Omega Collection, all of these features are pushed to their absolute limit. Omega Collection is a remaster of the last two games in the series, WipEout HD and WipEout 2048, and includes the former game’s DLC, Wipeout HD Fury.
WipEout: Omega Collection features 26 death-defying tracks designed to push your piloting abilities to the absolute limit, and gives you a choice of over 40 distinct ships to control, each with their own unique design and driving attributes. You can test your mettle in nine different game modes, including classic tournament and time trial modes along with a story mode and the battle-style modes Eliminator, Detonator and Zone Battle.
WipEout: Omega Collection not only presents the two games it was based off together, but it radically enhances their presentation, improving the sense of astronomical speed you can achieve during races. The technical experts at Digital Foundry have referred to WipEout: Omega Collection’s ability to run on the PS4 Pro at 60 frames per second with a 4K resolution as the flagship console’s “ultimate showcase.”
