Announced early last week, today’s State of Play Livestream was filled with plenty of new reveals and announcements worth getting excited about. However, if you couldn’t watch live but are still curious about what went down, below we’ve rounded up everything you’ve missed. Take a look:

Untitled Goose Game gets an official PS4 release date

Previously an exclusive to Nintendo Switch and PC, State of Play revealed the release date of Untitled Goose Game on PS4. Casting you as an ill-tempered goose ready to wreak havoc amongst the inhabitants of a peaceful English village, the game tasks you to complete many mischievous tasks as sneakily or as devilishly as possible. It kicked off today’s State of Play and will arrive on PS4 on  17th December.

New multiplayer game Spellbreak revealed; Beta coming Spring 2020

Combining a unique mix of role-playing and spell-based magic combat, Spellbreak is a team-based multiplayer game with a delightful fantasy twist. There’s no official word on when it will be arriving on PS4 in its full capacity, but players can look forward to taking part in the game’s beta when it hits in Spring of 2020. If you’ve always wished for a competitive Harry Potter game, this might just be the closest thing. Information is limited, but Spellbreak’s painterly art style is enough to get us excited!

Media Molecule’s Dreams officially launches on 14th February, 2020

Dreams background

For many months now, Dreams has been a game-making platform in beta that thousands of players have flocked to. Today’s State of Play finally put a date on when we can jump into its full release: Valentine’s Day. Is Dreams a match made in heaven for you? You can find out when you can prove your creative chops by collaborating on and making the game of your choosing when Dream arrives on 14th February, 2020.

Paper Beast is a whimsical puzzle-platformer coming to PSVR

Looking for a serene VR game where you get to control a flock of mythical creatures? Paperbeast might just help scratch that itch, being a new game that’s coming to PSVR some time in 2020. There’s something very Journey-esque about it as evidenced from the trailer, with the atmosphere being very dream-like. It’s described as a “sandbox eco-system”, hinting at various possibilities. The game was previously on PC, but now it comes to PSVR very soon.

Predator: Hunting Grounds comes to PS4 on 24th April, 2020

Made by the same people that developed the asymmetrical Friday the 13th game, Predator: Hunting Grounds takes that same ‘many versus one’ concept and fuses it with the Predator universe. One player takes on the role of the titular Predator while the others try and take him down as a group of human characters. State of Play finally revealed its official release date of 24th April, 2020.

Resident Evil 3 Remake officially revealed for PS4 and Xbox One; coming April 3rd

We already knew that the resident Evil 3 remake was coming thanks to a bunch of pre-order image leaks last week. However, today’s State of Play livestream gave us our first extended look at the campaign, showcasing the such iconic characters as Jill, Carlos and the unstoppable Nemesis. The trailer in general gave off a very creepy vibe that’s more in line with the series’ traditional survival horror roots, as you’d expect, but some elements seem to play out in first-person – like we saw with Resident Evil 7. Either way, Resident Evil 3 launches on April 3rd next year.

New trailer for PlayStation exclusive Ghost of Tsushima shown

It’s no secret that the PS4’s lifecycle is almost up, with Sony having already confirmed that PS5 will be arriving some time in Holiday 2020. However, one of the console’s final exclusives is Ghost of Tsushima, which acted as the final pop for today’s State of Play. This is the first we’ve heard from the game in two years, and more is teased to be shown at The Game Awards later this week.
